Before joining up with ITV Ventures through our team, we want you to understand the various costs that are involved, including those related to the Home Agent Program. The information presented on this page is quite lengthy, but we recommend you read the whole page.
You should first be aware that joining ITV Ventures business opportunity does not mean you are also automatically enrolled in its Home Agent Program. The latter is an additional – though very significant – means of earning income, over and above the other ways you can make money with ITV Ventures.

What is the Cost of Joining ITV Ventures?
ITV Ventures offers 2 ways of joining up as an Independent Business Owner (“IBO”).
i) Premiere IBO (Recommended): The cost is a one-time fee of $299 (recently reduced from the previous $499). You receive your own Website, your Business Management Center for managing your business, a Business In A Briefcase, a Getting Started Fast CD From Donald Barrett and, most importantly, over $400.00 worth of ITV products. And you can now pay in 2 instalments. We recommend this level so you receive the products and become familiar with them. ITV requires that you provide accurate information when selling its products. It is much easier to sell products you have used yourself. Your knowledge of them is a BIG selling point when you are speaking with your potential customers.
ii) Basic IBO: The cost is a one-time fee of $165.00. You receive your Website and the Business Management Center. If you truly cannot afford the Premiere level, then this gives you a way to get started.
What Additional Costs Will You Incur as an IBO?
There are 3 ongoing costs of being an IBO.
i) Monthly Action Program (“MAP”). This a $29.95 per month ongoing payment, for the monthly training from ITV Ventures. The training keeps you up to date with everything that is happening. It’s provided by very experienced network marketers and media experts.
Founder and CEO, Donald Barrett believes the people who are making the big money should be the ones teaching you. With MAP, even the newest IBO has the tools to become successful, rapidly. You no longer have to depend on getting your training from another new IBO who, let’s face it, doesn’t know any more than you do! You have access to Donald’s treasure chest of knowledge. ITV Ventures lets their experts guide you.
Your website and Business Management Center are updated daily with new product information, instructional videos and other useful information. There are even professionally produced ads you can send to FedEx Kinko’s to be printed. It’s all at your fingertips in your own back office!
ii) Personal Volume Commitment. As an IBO, you commit to generating $100 in ‘personal volume** every month. You can do this by buying products personally, or via sales to your customers. If you generate less than $100 in any particular month, you are charged $100 and you will receive from ITV Ventures $100 worth of product. You can choose any product you like from the growing product line. You can change your monthly purchase selection at any time.
** Please note: The volume figures used here are wholesale volume – not the total sales volume. Wholesale volume is usually around 50% of the retail sales price. Please note that as an IBO, you pay wholesale prices for any products you yourself purchase.
Once you have customers who are purchasing more than $100 in volume in a particular month, you won’t be charged anything, as you have met your monthly commitment. It takes very few customers (generally 2 to 4) to generate $100 of personal volume, so it’s pretty easy.
Monthly personal volume for this purpose is calculated on the 28th day of every month. Incidentally, if you join ITV Ventures as a Premiere IBO (which most people do), your first month of $100 personal volume is waived. Your commitment doesn’t start until the 28th of your second month. But if you join at the $165 level, you have to meet that $100 personal volume before the 28th of the month you join.
iii) Annual Membership Renewal. This is charged a year from when you join, and on each anniversary date of your joining. The renewal fee is $99.
How Do You Make Money as an IBO?
There are 3 basic ways to make money as an IBO (there are actually quite a few more, but they apply only when you have built up a significant downline. For more info on those, see the Compensation Plan).
i) Retail Sales. Every time you sell an ITV product, you make a commission, usually between 30% and 50% of the retail selling price. Remember, too, that ITV Ventures offers customers the ability to sign up for automatic re-orders of products…this is called the Order Assurance Program (“OAP”). When your customers join the OAP, they receive products on a recurring basis, often monthly. You make a commission automatically every month.
Remember, you don’t have to buy any inventory – you merely enter orders into your Business Management Center. ITV processes the order, ships it directly to your customer – and pays you your commissions every week. They even take care of customer service issues for you (i.e. returns).
ii) Sponsoring New IBOs. Whenever you sign up someone as a new IBO, at the Premiere level, you receive a commission of $100, while also building your down line. That commission is called a “Fast Cash Bonus”, and is also paid to you weekly.
iii) Commissions from Your Downline’s Sales. You make a commission off of every sale that any IBO in your downline makes. Depending on the depth of your downline, you get paid between 2% and 8% of the wholesale volume of everyone in your downline. You also get a mentoring bonus each time one of your personally sponsored IBOs signs up a new IBO. These commissions are paid monthly. See the Compensation Plan for complete details.
What is the Home Agent Program?
Up to now, everything we have been speaking about is pretty normal for a network marketing business – the start up fee, monthly fees, and how you make money.
But, ITV Ventures also offers all of its IBOs the option (it’s not mandatory) of participating in the Home Agent Program (“HAP”). This is where things get seriously interesting.
For the past several years, ITV has built itself into one of the world’s leading infomercial companies. Until recently, when a person saw an infomercial for a product on television, they would dial the toll-free number shown on the screen and speak with a call center to order the product.
But now, with the HAP, you can become part of a huge, virtual, call center. You get to take those phone calls in the comfort of your own home. Then you simply type their product orders into your own Business Management Center. ITV takes care of the rest. These customers become yours for life. You make a commission on every order they ever place, as long as you remain an IBO!

So, you get new customers ordering products after watching ITV’s product infomercials that run all over the country. And you sponsor new IBOs into your downline via the income opportunity infomercials. The result is long-term, stable income. And, you work right from the comfort of your own home. It just doesn’t get any better than that!
Here’s what you need – technology-wise - in order to work the HAP (also, please review the Full Instructions for Joining the Home Agent Program):
- Computer: PC (no Macs); Internet Explorer 6.0; at least a 15′ monitor; Windows XP or Windows 2000 or Vista; Minimum RAM 128 MB, 256 MB is recommended (256 MB required w/Windows XP); processor is AMD Athlon, AMD Duron, Celeron or Pentium III or better; processor speed 800 MHz or better
- Internet Connection: Cable (preferred) or DSL. Dial-up is not recommended.
- Telephone: Normal telephone (cell phones not recommended because of the possibility of dropped calls)
Remember though, even if you don’t have the technology required to use the HAP, there are plenty of IBOs who are making a very good income without the HAP.
What are the Costs Associated with the Home Agent Program?
There are 3 costs involved in participating in the optional HAP. Please remember, you have to be an IBO, first, before you join the HAP.
i) Initial Starter Package Fee. The sign up cost for the HAP is a one-time fee of $299 for the Starter Package. This fee includes $49.95 which is used to perform a criminal background check on every applicant. ITV doesn’t want any bad apples involved. *VERY IMPORTANT: You don’t have to wait for the background check to be completed before starting the HAP. You can start taking calls right away, as long as you have finished the paperwork. ITV will inform you if there is any problem regarding the background check. It also includes $59.95 for your first month’s monthly administration fee (see below), as well as an extensive training program - and most importantly, you receive 200 call credits (worth $200).
ii) Monthly Fee. The monthly cost is $59.95. This gives you access to the advanced technology used to schedule your phone calls and to direct those calls to your personal phone line. If you decide to drop out of the HAP, you can contact ITV and they’ll cancel this fee for future months.
(iii) Phone Call Credits (Leads). Yes, you will be charged a fee, per call, for the phone calls you decide to receive. Remember, running infomercials costs a lot of money – ITV has to pay each television station for the infomercials they broadcast. They cover this cost by charging HAP participants for each phone call they choose to receive.
As an IBO, you are getting a very HOT lead, one that can become a customer of yours for life. The cost of these calls is a marketing cost – where, unlike other businesses, you don’t have to design ads, negotiate for the placement of the ads, and then wait and hope that people will respond to your ad. ITV does it all for you, with professionals analyzing the latest tests and statistics. These leads are valuable. You are getting a lot of bang for your buck! With the HAP, your leads are highly qualified leads, delivered right to your home telephone, in real time. You merely have to answer your phone and log into your computer.
You order phone calls in advance through the software program you will receive when you join the HAP. You choose which product infomercials you want to take calls for, and at what times. You make your own schedule! So, you answer calls when it’s convenient for you to do so. And you will receive a credit if any of the people who phone you involve:
· prank calls
· wrong numbers
· a Canadian caller
· a customer calling in on the wrong product
· customer service calls regarding prior orders or returns
· hang-ups or disconnects (where the IBO does NOT have the opportunity to complete a sales presentation).
The price of each call varies, based on which product calls you wish to receive. The cost per call for products is usually between 5 and 25 call credits - call credits are sold for $1 each, and each individual product is costed by the number of call credits required per call (and presently it’s 15 call credits if you want to receive calls from those who are interested in having you sponsor them into your downline, while watching the income opportunity infomercial,). Calls are priced with both ITV’s costs and the IBO’s in mind. ITV’s goal is to help you profit as quickly as possible.
How Do You Make Money with the Home Agent Program?
The key to making a good income from the HAP is to remember that everyone who orders from you becomes your customer for life.
In addition to making an initial sale, focus on getting them to join the Order Assurance Program (where you’ll receive a commission on every order shipped to them, as long as they stay in the OAP and you remain an IBO). Since they become your customers, you can contact them on an ongoing basis (by phone, mail or email) to sell them other ITV products as well. New products are released regularly. The opportunity to sell additional products to your customers never ends.
Let’s use a hypothetical example of how you can earn money with the HAP.
Say you like FlexProtex and decide to answer calls stemming from the FlexProtex infomercial. If you sell a customer 1 bottle, you make a commission of $24.95. If you get a customer to buy it on the OAP, you earn $14.95 a month - for as long as they stay on the OAP. ITV Ventures provides you with a script, specific to each product, which helps you upsell the caller to purchase the product on the OAP.
The phone call leads for FlexProtex are presently priced at $20 each. If you make a sale for 2 out of every 3 leads who call you, that means the 3 leads cost you $60. If one of the orders was for one bottle, from which you earned $24.95, and the other joined the OAP (as many do), from which you earned $14.95, your total initial commission was $39.90. So you spent $60 and have around $40 to show for it. (But wait…..not to worry…..there’s more.)
Here’s what is crucial to understanding how you can build a very profitable business using the HAP.
If that one customer stays on the OAP for say, another 8 months, you will earn a further $119.60 ($14.95/month X 8 more months). From your 3 calls, your total income then is $159.50. Your costs were $60 for the 3 phone leads – so your total profit is $99.50, or about $100.
In addition you now have 3 people you can contact in the future (at no cost to you) to whom you can sell other ITV products. And IBOs are even having success selling the ITV Ventures income opportunity to their product customers, sometimes during the initial product call. So you could earn another $150 Fast Track Bonus, paid the very next week!
